Aumics is dedicated to personalized understanding and management of pain.

Aum (also ‘om’, Sanskrit ॐ) refers to the soul within and the ultimate reality.  We seek to answer important questions about human health and well-being using the latest omics methods.

Aumics was founded by scientists and patient advocates who are personally motivated to improve the pain management landscape.   We believe strongly that human biology is infinitely interesting, and there is much to gain for all of us from studying it together.

Alexander Kislukhin, PhD

Founder

Alex trained as a chemist at Higher Chemical College of Russian Academy of Sciences.  He holds a PhD in Chemical Biology from the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA.  As a National Cancer Institute Fellow at the University of California San Diego, he invented new materials for imaging cancer immunotherapies in the lab of late Nobel-winning chemist and neuroscientist Roger Tsien.  Alex consulted in the fields of materials science, vaccine development, diabetes, oncology, and medical diagnostics.  He is currently a data scientist at CommonSpirit Health, the largest non-profit hospital network in the US.
